Notice anything different about Mpora? We’ve spent the last few weeks in website Weight Watchers and shed a couple of pounds to make Mpora that little bit better for your viewing pleasure. With a few things missing and a few things added, here’s your guide to everything new on the site you love!
Let’s start right at the beginning – The Mpora Homepage. You’ll notice that we’ve changed the black to white and changed a few colours around so it looks a bit cleaner. The set up is a little different with our ‘Featured Videos’ section being a bit more obvious so you know what’s good in the action sports world. Here’s a tasty before and after shot if your memory is failing you…
Shifting away from the home page for a minute and straight into your profile, you’ll notice that it’s following on with the colour scheme. Not only that but we’ve also tidied up your tabs so it’s easier to go to your latest videos, photos, inbox and more. There’s also a NEW ‘Recommended’ tab that will feed you with a list of content that we think you might like based on what you’ve liked in the past. The internet may work in mysterious ways but we just like to make sure that you’re entertained while you’re with us! As one new thing comes in, it sometimes means that something old might have to leave and so we say farewell to the Wall. You will no longer be able to post on your friends walls but there’s always the messaging system if you need to get in touch with someone.
A couple more things have bitten the Mpora dust recently. Groups are gone but let’s be honest, they were a little bit 2008 anyway so we’re pretty sure that no one will really miss them! The points system has also been kicked out but they’re hanging around back there somewhere so a shock return might not be off the cards just yet. Spot check has also disappeared but you lot have got pockets full of iPhones these days so we’re safe in the knowledge that you’ll be able to find the nearest park! Everything else remains as it was so don’t fear if you think you’ve lost a beloved part of Mpora.
Our navigation bar has changed slightly as well but it’s not something that will confuse you! We’ve combined Kite into the Wind category and BMX Racing has a seat in the BMX tab. You’ll also notice that the tabs have a drop down menu that have our affiliated magazines and websites in there, so if you ever need to get some more journalistic sights on the sports, click away.
I would talk away for Queen and country about the new Mpora blog but you’ve managed to find this pretty well so you’ll know half of it already! That being said, I feel you might need a little bit of info. We’ll be posting up things that we find interesting, funny, weird… anything really from the world of the internet, Mpora and beyond. If you’re interested in hearing what we have to say on a regular basis then it might be worth keeping up to date with our blog.
The last new thing that we’ve introduced is our Help & Support system. Every site has teething troubles from time to time and we know that sometimes those troubles annoy you! If you’re a bit lost with something or need some help then click on the Help & Support button and you’ll be whisked away to a place where we’ll accommodate your every question. There’s a Knowledge Base in there, essentially an FAQ, for all the normal questions we get asked that will help you on your way without the need to ask us to assist! If your question isn’t answered feel free to start a discussion and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If you reckon there’s something that we should add to Mpora then we’ve got a dedicated part of our support system for that purpose and that purpose only!
If no questions were answered or you just want to get in touch with the Mpora editors directly there’s contact details for each of us, so all you need to do is find the right editor and get emailing!
That’s pretty much it. The new Mpora has been unveiled and we’re going to rest for a good 3 minutes before we carry on working on other stuff to make your life better. For now, take a look around, see what you like and what you don’t like, and let us know how you feel. If there’s something that you think needs changing or something that you think is incredible, comment underneath, send us a Tweet or post on our Facebook. We’ll see what we can do.
Before I sign off, there’s still more Mpora wonders in the pipelines but it’s going to be a little while before they’re launched. Just make sure you keep your eyes on Mpora because the next addition is going to help your sports life no end!
