It’s a bit of a strange title but it does have some purpose, I promise you, just stick with it…
So you all know Travis Pastrana, right? If you don’t then you need a swift kick in the shins. For those that don’t he’s a ridiculous motocross rider that has balls of steel. He’s jumped off pretty much everything, skydived without a parachute and enjoyed some pretty hectic new years celebrations with Red Bull. The latest project he’s got going is with Nitro Circus – a group of guys doing stupid things off a huge ramp on different contraptions.

So in honour of how crazy and entertaining this is we’re running a little competition – Challenge Travis!. We’ve got a stash of prizes to give away to three winners and all you have to do is think of a trick. Just think of a trick that could be as mad as anything that you reckon would be good to see Travis perform when he and the Nitro Circus head to London town. To enter though you have to do some simple tweeting. Just hit the RT button after you’ve seen the Mpora Twitter shout about the comp and change *Add random trick* to be whatever your trick is! Simple!

The Mpora tweet will read as follows:
*Add random trick* to #ChallengeTravis @ Nitro Circus! RT & fill in the trick to win Nitro Circus DVDs, t-shirts & hats!
So your tweet could be:
RT @Mpora *Backwards Front flip 1800* to #ChallengeTravis @ Nitro Circus! RT & fill in the trick to win Nitro Circus DVDs, t-shirts & hats!

So, like I said, we’ve got three sets of prizes to giveaway and it’s all kicking off on Twitter now! If you want some more information on Challenge Travis then head over to the Red Bull site to find out more but if you just want to get involved right now, then check out the Mpora Twitter and get involved!
You’ve got one week which means it’ll all end next Friday (July 27th)!

It’s always going to be quite a claim for a snow film to be the best film ever but is The Art of Flight going to take that crown? With Travis Rice being the main man in ‘Hollywood‘ snowboarding right now, any film with his name in it is going to be a big one, especially after That’s It, That’s All.
There’s been a lot of hype around The Art of Flight. There have been trailers, tv spots, gossip… you name it, it’s had it. Red cams have been used all over the shop and it’s going to be an absolute HD dream but let’s not stop there. It’s got a cast involving (already mentioned) Travis Rice, Nico Muller, Jake Blauvelt, DCP, Scotty Lago… the list goes on.

So what do you expect from the world premiere of one of the biggest snow films in recent history? You expect it to be held in an iconic city and bring in some celebrities. Oh, yeh, that’s totally what happened. Held in the Beacon Theatre in New York City, that’s one box already ticked. Celebrities? Justin Timberlake, Owen Wilson and Mike Diamond from the Beastie Boys – tick. Red Bull Media House have spent a lot of cash getting this all sorted and the guys at Brain Farm (who Red Bull collaborated with on the film) were stoked to see the turn out. With this film being 2 years in the making everyone was understandably nervous but it got rave reviews from everyone in attendance.

Did that whet your appetite enough? If it did then you’ll be pleased to know that it’s already available for download over on the iTunes store. It’s clearly already had a fair few downloads and the price isn’t too bad for the HD version. But if you’re not one for downloading and sitting at a screen to watch the new shit, then how about heading along to one of the many other European premieres!

Euro Tour Dates
November 8: Munich/GER
November 9: Vienna/AUT
November 10: Prague/CZE
November 12: Innsbruck/AUT
November 13: Milan/ITA
November 14: Luzern/SUI
November 16: Madrid/SPA
November 17: London/GBR
November 19: Oslo/NOR
November 21: Brussels/BEL
November 22: Amsterdam/NED
November 23: Warsaw/POL
November 24: Stockholm/SWE
November 26: Paris/FRA
November 27: Moscow/RUS

God knows I’m going to try my best to get along to one of these dates. But if you’re one of the many that have already seen it then let us know what you think. Is it the best snowboarding film ever?

Saturday 20th August 2011 was the date that held the biggest skate event that the UK has ever seen and it landed in the capital. Old Spitalfields Market in East London was the venue for some of the best skaters in Europe along with over 10,000 spectators and it did not disappoint.

To create the course Vans selected obstacles from Cliché, Superdead and Death Skateboards in recognition of their creative designs, and they were a treat for the skaters as these obstacles were there for one day only!

This is normally the moment where I wax lyrical about who did what and what won whoever something but not this time. The video is so damn good that it can speak for itself and you’ll get much more excited by watching it then reading it! Look out for the moves from Danny Brady over Cliché’s Tower Bridge obstacle and Chris Pfanner with his trademark F/S melon flip.
